I started lazyketo 65 days ago. After 30 days to become keto adapted I started seriously counting macros and committed to a fairly serious caloric deficit.
Today I weighed in at 258.8
I started thinking about loosing weight because of my snoring, it was killing me. I would wake up after 10 hours of sleep exhausted with blood in my throat and sometimes unable to even swallow. I knew I had to do something and the first thing you see is loose weight. After trolling Reddit and finding keto I decided to go for it.
I as far as I know have stopped snoring. I wake up feeling rested and recharged and my throat no longer feels like I spent the night gargling broken glass.
Other amazing side effects have been the bathroom, I had spent years with what I just assumed was IBS and required a bathroom immediately after lunch with as many as 2-5 other trips a day. Now once a day, on my schedule and I am in and out like a kid.
My back, that I had given up as hopelessly damaged from years of manual labor. It isn't perfect but I just spent 2 hours playing basketball with my brother and nephews and am just now taking a break from deep cleaning my house to write this. The last couple years the weekends where just me recovering from the work week usually with pain meds and muscle relaxers. I haven't needed a pain pill in a month or a muscle relaxer more than once or twice a week after work.
I am starting to feel like me again. The me I was and I had just assumed I stopped being because I was getting older.
Anyway, thank you /r/keto thank you for the post of a crazy cheese omelette that made it to the front page and got my attention. Thank you for all of the information in the side bar and helpful comments about what to expect and how to live this way. And thank you to all of the success stories on here, they have been a never ending source of motivation.
