My husband and I started keto-ing a little less than 3 weeks ago. We're both doing well and feeling great on it.
SV - He got a little discouraged because he dropped 10 lbs. the first week, and then went up a little in weight and stalled out the second week. Then he got on the scale this morning, and suddenly another 7.5 lbs. were just gone. (His stats for those who are interested are: 6'1", SW of 386 lbs, CW of 370 lbs.)
WTF moment - He works in a male-dominated environment (there's only one female at his office), and quite a few of the guys are on some kind of diet. Mostly the typical, American idea of dieting - low fat, lots of "whole grain" carbs and sugary fruits, with extreme calorie restriction. Apparently my husband's "diet" lunches are a source of discussion in his office. One of the other gentlemen that he works with (possibly hangry due to excessive use of lean cuisine as a source of nourishment?) went on an actual angry rant about how my husband was going to die because of all the fats he was eating. The saturated fats are going to clog up his arteries and stop his heart!!!
Husband just nodded, kept calm, and keto'd on...
