Usually, when I begin any diet or lifestyle change I always screw up around the weekends or when I'm out with family. Today I was challenged with both. After thrifting with my aunt and grandmother, we decided to go out to eat. Since this is only my fifth-day keto I was really worried. Luckily, I was smart enough to google their menu before heading to the restaurant. I had their grilled chicken tenderloins with two bowls of steamed broccoli. After staring hungrily at the biscuits on the table, I managed to just enjoy my meal by smearing the broccoli with butter. My aunt and grandmother were constantly offering me bites of their fried catfish or hush puppies but I thought of the way those foods would make me feel and declined. Though it has only been a few days, I am very happy with my lifestyle change. I no longer feel sluggish and in need of a nap after a meal.
