So I joined the military a few years ago and was in pretty decent shape. Mostly because I worked in a gym, but I was on my feet a lot walking around.
Then I joined the Air Force and funny enough, I spend most of my work days in a chair for 10-12 hours. No surprise I gained 30 pounds and struggled for almost 2 years to pass my physical fitness tests. My knees were hurting because of my weight and I was looking at possible discharge because of my overall physical state.
So I began this diet about a month ago and lost 10 pounds. Today I had my physical fitness test and I passed with flying colors. Between exercise and keto I managed to drop 3 and a half minutes off of my run time. My coworkers are noticing my weight loss and I feel better than I have in years. My ultimate goal is to get down to 160 pounds. So 20 more to go, and in 6 months I plan on getting an "excellent" on my next test. A big shoutout goes to my coworkers to introduced this to me. Through their support I am looking at no longer stressing out every 6 months about my test, and the embarrassment of failing PT tests look to be behind me. This has been a huge win for me.
