bone broth may have saved this kitten's life

my housemate and i have been fostering five kittens since mid december. after a week, one of them- who happened to be my favorite- started to get real lethargic and stopped interacting with us or the other kittens. she stopped growing and developing. while the other kittens played, she would sit in a corner with wet, squinty eyes. she looked like a little kid with a fever or a bad headache. her face resembled ET and her legs were weak and limp. if i would try to pet her, she'd move away. by the fifth week i wouldn't have been surprised if i woke up one morning to find her dead. she was half the size of her siblings. the vet said she was a "failure to thrive" kitten. i'd never heard of it before but apparently it's fairly common for the runt of the litter to not develop and eventually just fade away and die after a couple months. this was breaking my heart. i'd recently read about the amazing effect bone broth had on people's health, so a couple weeks ago i made my first batch for her and added it to her evening meal. the very next day she started playing and acting like a normal kitten. we continued to add it to her every meal and she's continued to thrive and grow and play. her body is now well proportioned, she's getting stronger, and she chases her brother and sisters around the room. i have no other explanation on the sudden turn in her health than the bone broth. i'd like you to meet moxie: http://ift.tt/2k7tEVn
