I'm going to try to keep this kind of short, but this marks one year of being on keto and working out, or trying to, five or six days a week. It all started February of last year when I ended up in the hospital because I thought I was having a heart attack, and knew it was time to change my ways. The next day I laid there and browsed diet options until I came up on keto. I figured I was going to do it all the way, or not at all, so I read up as much as I could in that day, and three days later, I started my journey. My starting weight in the first picture and that album was probably around 280 pounds.

The highest weight I had gotten to was 305 pounds, so I started a small exercise program to get myself active. At first I started using an elliptical, and the workouts would range anywhere from 15 minutes to 30 minutes. The weight started falling off two months in, and I started to extend those to 45 minutes to an hour. I made it 6 months without a single cheat meal or day going over my macros, and that was something that really helped drive me. Around August, I started adding a lot more resistance training in, and I wish I would have done it sooner. I feel like I grew so much weaker because I wasn't using my upper body for anything. That's not to say that the diet did it to me, it was just my lack of training my entire body when I should have been.

I have stalled my posting here most of that year, because I thought it was gaudy and tacky to put a pictures of myself losing weight. There are so many people that put up pictures as if they were bragging rights, and that didn't sit right with me. (Not this sub, but in general.) I actually avoided posting any pictures until I had to reach my goal weight of 200 pounds. The only inspiration I really needed was the encouragement of My Wife and Kids, but I also see that it's important to reach out to others when you are struggling. This is me reaching out to all of you saying you can do it. You have the strength to keep going. It gets really hard some days, but in the end, it'll all be worth it. I wouldn't know what the end looks like, because this is only the start of my journey.

I can go more in depth later, but I just wanted to throw this up before I left work. I'll be back to edit either later tonight or first thing in the morning.

Starting weight: 280ish lbs Goal weight: 200 lbs Current weight: 195 lbs

Also, I'm shit with imgur, and will probably have to go back and delete creepy comments. Someone help, haha.

edit1: Figured out how ot make it private. Can't figure out how to delete weird comments. Enjoy, though!
