I've been on Atkins since Dec 1, doing pretty well initially, then kind of stalled at 194 - 192 for about 3 weeks. I went to every macro calculator I could find and compared it to the macros on the Atkins platform (which isn't tied to your weight) and the only thing I could see was I eating too much protein. I did cut back a little on protein, to no immediate effect, so I just stuck with it. And today my weight was 189 lbs 14 oz ! I think that some of the diabetes meds I'm on might be having an effect -- my doctor told me that as my blood sugar came down they would stop working and I know they had the effect of causing me to lose weight weight. And [NSV] my blood sugar, fasting and post-prandial, is normal. Even if my weight goes back up a little (which it probably will), I'm thrilled to finally have broken this barrier. KCKO!
