Hey Everyone,

When i stumbled along this subreddit when looking for a way to improve my diet to fix my high cholesterol without taking medication, I never though I would hit my weight loss goal so quickly.

I started in mid-october - weighted about 213lbs. I didn't feel "overweight" but I definitely felt "fat".

I would break the buttons on my pants and wonder why clothing companies make such shitty buttons now a days....

Anyway - I started in October, and i stuck to what the Keto calculator said. http://ift.tt/2kF14rJ I stuck to a pretty strong 20-25% calorie deficit and I didn't cheat along the way.

If you think you can do it. You can do this. My weight has been back and forth over the last 10 years from my highest of 280 to my lowest (right now) of 178. After reaching my goal weight I've realized that I need some muscle, so i'm heading to the gym and starting to so some lifting trying to replace another 10lbs of fat for 10lbs of muscle. I'm planning on still holding a small deficit with my weight lifting until I can start seeing some more noticeable body changes.

What I learned:

Dont chase ketones - keep your carbs low and it will happen.

Dont stress if you fuck up along the way. Things happen, life happens, accept it and move on to a new day.

Stick to the plan and DONT CHEAT.

I plan on making this a lifestyle change, so I didn't make any Keto Breads or Fat head pizzas. My 2 main foods where:

1) Taco salad! Ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, guac and sour cream. So easy and so tasty.

2) Salad, easy to add fats too, i'd do Spinach, Broccoli, eggs, bacon, cheese, and dressing.

Don't fear the veggies. Obviously you need to watch your carb count, but dont make that the reason to NOT eat things like Spinach and Broccoli.

You can totally do this!
