11 tiny [SV]s and some [NSV]s after losing 35lbs! (Also a crummy pic comparison)

Hey everybody! I've been steadily losing weight since I started on keto, but I've held off on posting since I always worry about getting hyped over a loss and then gaining it all back. But I've lost 2.5 stone so far so I think I'm safe. Here's two pics of me- one from when I started, and one from today. The shirt is baggy so it doesn't show my loss that much but I wanted to use the same one. Started at 290lbs (20st 10lbs), am now 255.

As someone who's been fat almost their entire life, I've had so many tiny SVs that might seem silly to some people but I'm really interested to hear if anybody else felt the same way... so here's mine:

  1. The first 7lbs/half stone - felt like a substantial weight loss, so unlike the 3-4lb fluctuations.

  2. Getting to 20st, no 'and x lbs' - being over 20st was really shameful for me for a long time. My dad was 20st at his heaviest and I always told myself that would be way too heavy for me. Then it became the 'upper limit'. Then it was my normal weight. Then I got closer to 21 than 20 and I was really panicking. So getting down to 20 with no qualifications was awesome.

  3. Getting /under/ 20st - the day the scale ticked over to 19st 13 my heart sank because I misread the scale, having only paid attention to the small number for a while. I'd gained 12lbs over night! Then I realised it was 19st 13, not 20, and I almost cried from happiness.

  4. Losing my first stone (14lbs).

  5. Reaching 280lbs - 280lbs was the weight I allowed to admit myself I weighed. I had another weight I gave more easily until recently, but even 280 was off by 10lbs. It felt good to ACTUALLY be 280 and not 'nearly 300'.

  6. Seeing the scale hit 19st 5 - because I can't remember the last time it was below 19st 10 and that proved it wasn't just a fluke.

  7. Hitting 19st (woo!)

  8. Hitting the 20lb loss mark - and knowing that was a LOT.

  9. Going UNDER 19st - I had a little stall around this time and really thought I was done losing weight. I haven't been in the 18st range since high school.

  10. Getting down to 260lbs - this was the original 'other' weight I mentioned earlier.

  11. Working out I'd hit 2 stone and a HALF! (35lbs) - It sounds weird but the first thing I thought was that I've lost more weight than the total weight of my mum's dog xD

Even though they're tiny things, they've all made me so excited. I've found weight loss this time around to be relatively easy because I'm constantly excited about some next or current goal. It's so thrilling and I couldn't even have imagined I'd ever weigh 18st 3lbs... not to mention being on track to lose MORE weight.

And then there are the NSVs:

  • Clothes I haven't worn in 5 years suddenly fitting...

  • ...And pants I bought 2 months ago falling off me XD

  • Noticing that a lot of seats are 'bigger' now (nope! I'm just smaller...)

  • The other day I helped another guy up and he said 'whoa, you're strong'... I've NEVER BEEN considered strong in my life. Then I realised... my muscles are used to carrying an extra 30lbs.

  • Just looking in the mirror and seeing how much smaller I look.

  • Sticking to this for so long and knowing I can do it. I've never stuck to a 'diet' for more than month before.

Sorry this is so long and rambling. I'm just super excited/happy about everything. What are some tiny SVs or NSVs that made you happy that you don't feel like other people notice/would think are a big deal?

tl;dr: fat person is less fat, is happy, keto is gud yay
