Hi, everyone! Long time lurker, first time posting.
Warning shirtless big dude to slightly less big dude & face gains: http://ift.tt/2ive5Ij
6 months ago I decided it was time to get in better shape and a buddy of mine was starting Keto so I figured I'd jump on the train as well. He and this subreddit have been my main motivations throughout this journey. So big thanks to y'all!
The first four months consisted of strict keto (under 20g carbs) and a 2-mile walk during lunch hours. The past two months I've been going to the gym at least 2-3 times a week and eyeballing carbs but staying under 25g carbs for sure. Currently sitting at a 7-minute 30-second mile and a 295lbs bench press max. It feels great not dying to try to climb a couple stories of stairs now.
To anyone thinking about starting this diet, just give it a shot. It's tough at the very beginning but it's so worth the results. I'll give you guys another update at 190lbs!
Side note: I'm scheduled for gynecomastia (removal of breast tissue) surgery in the next 2 weeks so if my chest looks drastically different then that's why.
