Hi everyone! Heads up to past participants and newcomers that the next 6 Week Keto Challenge begins this week. This challenge will run from February 22 to April (April!) 5. Please read to the bottom of this post before signing up!

Follow these instructions to sign up:

  1. Click this link to go to our Google Group. Do not use the "View Only" button. I will not accept any requests sent through that link.
  2. Select "apply for membership".
  3. Enter your Reddit username as your display name and select "apply to join this group". You will receive an email once I accept your request, which I'm usually pretty quick with.
  4. Once you have received access, click this link to go to the 6 Week Keto Challenge spreadsheet and input your basic stats and goals. You can use my row (#4) on the spreadsheet as a guide if you'd like.

Log your Challenge Starting Weight on Wednesday - or today if you'd prefer - and then for each of the following six weeks through April 5 (I'll send a reminder email every Wednesday afternoon) log a weigh in.

Here's an infographic I put together showing our progress in the last challenge. The short version: we had a ton of participants again, this time exceeding 900 in total. Participants who completed all six weeks lost an average of 10.2 lbs (4.6 kg) during the challenge - a total of 3698.4! We've never touched numbers like these before and I'm just floored by the progress we made in this Challenge.

I was really happy with the amount of discussion in the last Challenge thread throughout the challenge, and I'm hoping to keep that going this time. I'll include a link to the thread in each email again like last time and if you guys want to talk about your progress throughout the challenge - any SV, NSV, pics, rants, observations, or feedback for me - go for it.

Remember to set an attainable goal, particularly if you're new to this. People who set the highest weight loss goals are more likely to stop participating early in the challenge. The idea is to challenge and motivate yourself, but don't overwhelm yourself and become discouraged. Remember, it's a marathon, not a sprint. There's no competition; we want everyone to use it for their own purposes, at their own pace, whether it's weight loss or gains or maintaining.

Also, don't worry about what number row your info is in or what order you place your name on the list. The spreadsheet will be alphabetized each week, so where you are today, you likely won't be next week. Just look for yourself in alphabetical order!

Good luck everyone!
