My first 25 down!

I started keto on September 18th. I had many failed attempts throughout the years. I made it through the first month, excited that I had done it, even if my results were small compared to the success that I read from a lot of you. PCOS is a bitch, people!

I was at a standstill for over a week during my lady times, but a standstill wasn't gaining, so I took it as a win.

Month 2 I realized my body was going to fight with me to lose this weight, so I started fighting back. I weigh everything that I even think of eating. And you know what?

As of this morning I'm down 26 lbs!!!

I was in the middle of my own huge lose but didn't see it!

Extension? I don't need no stinking extension! [NSV]

Any large person can relate to my airline experience. Over the years I've developed a bit of a process for flying. I always go for an isle seat, lean slightly into the isle (as to not encroach on my neighbor), and of course ask the flight attendant for a seatbelt extension at just the right time.

Well on two of my flights last weekend, I was pleasantly surprised to find out I didn't need an extension! I can't remember the last time this wasn't required. It's hard to appreciate the changes to my body since they are gradual, but man this felt good!

Thanks to this community for the continued support. I'm here every day getting inspiration from you fanatics, and it's so appreciated.

First time keto meal prep [Pics]

Today is my first day doing the keto diet so I decided to meal prep for the next week. What do you guys think? I have bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast casserole, chicken fajitas, "spinach dip chicken" with broccoli, and taco bowls (used cauliflower rice in all of them to add volume) http://ift.tt/2zBwVEt

[NSV] I went jeans shopping for the first time since losing weight

I went to Target today (I know, big spender) to buy some pairs of long overdue jeans. I knew I was wearing a 40 inch waist but I often took them off without even unbuttoning them. So I went for a 36x30 size jeans. Brought them in the fitting room and they fit like a damn glove. Super happy right now and just KCKO all day everyday.

THANK YOU ALL for the support in yesterday's community thread.

Today was my bridal shower and ALL of my favorite carb-y foods were there. Pene Vodka. Chicken Francese. Shepherd's Pie. Ice Cream. Macaroons. Cupcakes. Apple Crisp. BUT, I had myself some cheese and a caesar salad (no croutons), drank coffee and diet coke.

I'd like to thank you all for your support and advice - on any other "diet" I would have taken the afternoon off for a cheat day. KCKO!

The evil bastard that lives on the floor in my bathroom finally caved after almost 2 months of my perserverence! Makes me down 11 lbs, which on here is like a drop in the bucket, but for me, its a damn miracle! I wasn’t injecting myself with hcg and eating 500 calories, i wasn’t sweating at the gym 7 days a week, and starving ALL the time, and i was full, satisfied and enjoyed my meals! For me, I had to see 199, to believe it was possible. Thank God for Keto!

[SV] Hit 2 major goals today! I have finally lost 100 pounds and I am no longer obese!!! 309>209

I updated Y'all for my birthday goal back in March that included a lot of rambling, as I was still dealing with the passing of my father if you want here is the Post

I want to thank everyone again for all the kind words that was said in that thread, it helped a lot!

Anyways into to the present. I haven't progressed as much as I would like since then. I was dealing with a lot of hardship from losing my dad, and I just sorta didn't care about my diet, so I stopped Keto and I stopped losing until the end of August. What was worst, I got addicted to sodas and sugars again, but I thankfully never gained any weight during those months, just stalled.

The way I got back into keto and dieting was from Harvey hitting me. I was forced to start keto again by lack of food and only water. So at least one good thing came out of that dastardly storm. Anyways I'm so happy to be back on Keto, my brain works so much better on it, it is currently helping me with A's for my first semester in college as well. I'm just overjoyed again and I just need to shout it out, so I'm sorry about the rambling again. Here are my before and after Photos. (Warning: fat shirtless man, NSFW-ish)

It sickens me to look at the first pictures, I was just so depressed all the time, I could barely remember what I was like back then. I don't even think I really had a personality. Today though, almost all of my problems went away, especially all the health problems that I thought was supposed to be normal.

I sadly don't have access to a gym, but I have started doing bodyweight exercises. I'm going to keep on working hard until I'm at my goal of 160, but in the meantime, I have onederland to look forward to in 10 pounds!

Side note - I also really helped my family lose weight as well. My sister went from barely obese to a normal bmi and my mum has lost nearly 60 pounds as well. They sought my help and it feels great knowing that you helped someone. (apparently, I was also an amazing cook without knowing) If anyone needs any help, guidance, motivation, or just a weight loss pal, let me know and I can help as well. As told in my other thread, I really don't want this world to be plagued by problems caused by weight, my dad died young from his weight, and I don't want you to do the same.

For those that just want the progress pics and don't have time to read the essay that I accidentally wrote, here are the Photos. (Warning: fat shirtless man, NSFW-ish)

Multiple doctors are encouraging me to get weight loss surgery, but my insurance company has turned me down three times for three types of surgeries. If I can't get turned around immediately, i won't have much longer. Today is day one.

Off medicine, my blood pressure would make a giraffe nervous. I have sleep apnea and I'm about to be diabetic.

Keto changed everything for me...

Thank goodness for keto, this subreddit, and this way of eating. I was way chubbier than I ever wanted to be and hated my reflection. I’m almost to my goal weight and the hatred of how I look in the mirror has diminished by a good 75%. ;)

Anyhow, stats:

Height: 5’ 11”

Starting weight: 267 lbs (January 2017)

Current weight: 184.6 lbs

Goal weight: 170 lbs

Thank the FSM for chicharrones, shrimp cocktail with dill dip, cubed smoked Gouda, racks and racks of baby back ribs made low and slow in the oven, and my savior, home brewed iced coffee with monk fruit for sweetening. Also, thank you to /r/KetoRecipes for some amazing ideas and inspiration.

Finally, I couldn’t have done this without my amazingly supportive and awesome girlfriend for her militant devotion to the cause.
